BLOODSTOCK And WACKEN OPEN AIR Officially Unite

July 24, 2006

The organizers of the U.K.'s Bloodstock festival have issued the following press release:

"Six years of running the U.K.'s number one independent metal festival is no small deal. Each year the Bloodstock team have fought hard and long to bring you a festival to be proud of, run for fans by fans.

"We already have a long-standing relationship with (W:O:A) Wacken Open Air. Wacken was and still is run for fans by fans and our German counterparts freely gave any advice Bloodstock needed over those formative years.

"So it is with the greatest pleasure we can now announce that Wacken Open Air has now joined Bloodstock as our business partner. This can only be a good thing for the metal scene in the UK. Our partners in no way wish to change the feel or structure of Bloodstock but will enhance the festival in so many ways these will become apparent over the coming months."

For further information on the lineup performing at the Bloodstock indoor festival on September 29-30, 2006, go to www.bloodstock.uk.com.
